Water symbolizes the essence of life and the fluidity of existence.
As a key element for life on Earth, it makes up to 60% of a human adult’s body. Carbohydrates
and proteins are metabolized via water and it is a vital nutrient for all cells.
Water is the key element that scientists seek as they scan the Universe for possible life on
other planets. Humans have long sought healing, growth, regeneration, rejuvenation, and
blessings from water, whether at healing springs or within spiritual practices across time and
tradition. In short, water is life.
In this exploratory gathering, we will engage the subject of water, inspired by the Mad River
Valley Arts exhibit “Elemental”. We will celebrate our relationship to this essential element
and work with creative processes to deepen our appreciation of water, thus deepening our
understanding of ourselves.
